Have you ever really stopped to consider the toxins you release into your home every time you use a cleaning product? Think about it for a minute. I’m sure you’ve heard that you should never mix certain products (bleach and amonia for example) because their fumes can cause death. Not only can these cause death, but they can do so in matter of seconds. Most people don’t even have time to make it out of the room before the worst occurs.
Pretty frightening huh? On the flip side, did you know it’s easy (and definitely cheaper) to make your own, non-toxic cleaning products? Did you know that green tea is an excellent anti-bacterial cleaning agent? Who could argue that green tea is toxic? Check this out if you need further proof: http://www.squidoo.com/new-and-creative-uses-for-green-tea-leaves.
Baking soda is another excellent, non-toxic cleaner. Use in place of toxic cleaning solutions when you need to scour and scrub certain surfaces such as the kitchen sink, the restroom, etc.
Hopefully these two small steps will move you along in the right direction to a wellness home!
